Game of Thrones Explained
Game of Thrones isn’t so much a show about people, it’s a show about power, and loyalty, the human condition. It’s a fantasy series set in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros — the place where our incumbent king, Robert Baratheon, sits perched on the Iron Throne. Yet on his death an ugly struggle for the crown arises, Lord Stark, Lord Lannister, Lord Baratheon, Lord Targaryen all hungry for the gold.
Alliances are made, and broken, characters are born and die, Westeros' very fate is on the line: it is the story of the series. Show’s extensive characters, remarkable plot changes, and sudden turns are, in contrast, sufficiently intriguing and enthralling so that the viewers are put into the edge of a chair.
